Christmas in Innsbruck is romantic, atmospheric and full of traditions. It’s not just us Innsbruckers who love the Christmas markets, but many people from near and far are drawn to the city of millions of lights. The Christmas markets can look back on a long tradition and each of the six markets in Innsbruck appeals to visitors in a very special way.

CHRISTMAS MARKET OLD TOWN INNSBRUCK

The small stalls are a real treasure trove for special souvenirs. Families should take a detour to the fairytale alley. Numerous figures from the most famous fairy tales look out from the fronts of houses, bay windows and gables. Our tip: visit the Christmas market during the week and enjoy the atmosphere. From November 15 to December 23, 2024 Opening ceremony: November 15, 2024 Daily from 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

IMPERIAL CHRISTMAS ON THE BERGISEL

Atmospheric Advent market at Bergisel with a focus on regional products and crafts from Tyrol. From November 15 to December 22, 2024 Friday: 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Saturday: 11:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday: 11:00 – 8:00 p.m.

THE MARKETPLACE IN ADVENT

Families with children can look forward to a varied children’s program. The 14 meter high tree made of Swarovski crystals impresses with its brilliance. 68 stalls offer a wide variety of shopping opportunities and cater for the physical well-being of market visitors. From November 15 to December 23, 2024 Daily from 11:00 to 21:00

CHRISTMAS MARKET ST. NIKOLAUS

Quiet and contemplative: this is how visitors experience the Advent market at the Christmas market in St. Nikolaus. From November 22 to December 23, 2024 Open daily from 16:00 to 21:00.

CHRISTMAS MARKET MARIA-THERESIEN-STRASSE

A modern sea of lights welcomes Christmas market visitors to Maria-Theresien-Straße. From November 25, 2024 to January 6, 2025 Daily from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. December 24 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. December 31 from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

ADVENT SPIRIT AT THE HUNGERBURG

The panoramic Christmas market on the Hungerburg offers an incredible view of wintry Innsbruck. The Nordkettenbahnen cable cars take you directly from the Congress station in the city center to the idyllic vantage point.
